Individual Members

I was a member in 2019, am I still a member if I have not renewed?

No, you must submit a new application to join here

I was a member in the past, how do I renew my membership?

We’re delighted you would like to become an IDI member again. You can submit your application here.

I pay for my membership monthly using PayPal, can I still continue to do that?

We have decided to move to annual billing only. Please cancel your direct debit and pay for your subscription in full. You can do this by logging in here.


Company Membership Schemes

Do I have to renew my membership if my employer has paid company membership on my behalf?

No, if your college/university has renewed their membership yours will be renewed automatically. If your membership has not been renewed, get in touch with your college’s IDI Membership administrator.

My employer is an IDI company member, but the system is not recognising my email address when I try to log in.

This probably means you are not yet a member yourself. In this instance, you will need to get in touch with our Membership Coordinator, Sorcha at info@idi-design.ie and she will create an account for you, provided that the fee payer of the Group membership approves.

I have paid for a company membership, how do my designers become members?

If your designers are already members thanks to your membership, let our Membership Coordinator know and she will upgrade their membership.

If your designers are new to IDI, give their names and email addresses to our Membership Coordinator, Sorcha, and she will set up an account for them.

I would like to apply for my company to become a member of IDI. How do I do this?

Before a company can apply for membership, at least one of your designers must have completed the IDI membership application process and have been accepted as a member. Please see here for more details.

Can I get an invoice before I pay my company subscription?

Yes, please contact us and we will raise an invoice against your profile. Once that’s done, you can access the invoice under your profile once you are logged in.



Students/Graduate Members

I am a student/graduate, how do I become a member?

Full time students of Irish design colleges are welcome to sign up for our newsletter to stay abreast of IDI activities and enter the Graduate Awards. Recent Graduates can become Graduate members for €30 annually. You are welcome to apply for full membership when you have attained your degree and the necessary professional experience to fulfil IDI membership criteria.


College/University Membership

My employer is a college/university and I have been a member in 2019 thanks to their subscription. Do I still need to renew my membership for 2020?

If your college/university has renewed their membership yours will be renewed automatically. If your membership has not been renewed, get in touch with your college’s IDI Membership administrator.

My employer is a college/university that is an IDI member but I am not a member. How do I avail of membership as a staff member?

You will need to get in touch with our Membership Coordinator, Sorcha at info@idi-design.ie and she will create an account for you, provided that the fee payer of the college membership approves..

I represent a college/university that would like to apply for membership. How do I do this?

Before a college can apply for membership, at least one of your staff members must have completed the IDI membership application process and have been accepted as a member. Please see here for more details. This college/university must be offering full-time degree courses in design and must be based in Ireland.
