Who can Apply
Irish or Irish-based designers
Design Graduate - third-level degree in design or a third-level design-related course
At least 2 years of professional design experience
Experienced self-taught professional designers may also apply.

Please note that if your employer already has IDI membership and you are newly applying for membership as part of a Group Membership, you still need to get in touch with us at info@idi-design.ie to be added to the Group Membership. If you are already a member via your Group Membership, log in here to view your profile and update your details.

Pay the €50 one time application fee (non-refundable)
Application reviewed by the IDI Professional Practice Committee
If approved, you’ll be invited to activate your Full Membership (€197/year)

Group and Company Membership
Group and Company Membership are for design practices or design-related businesses that employ at least 2 qualified designers.
Companies must have at least 1 designer who has already been admitted to IDI via the paid application process described above, before applying for a Group or Company Package. All subsequent employees must also complete the paid online application before being admitted as members.
Enterprise Membership
We are delighted to now welcome large companies with in-house teams from 5 – 100 people.
